M1025A2 HMMWV on the Auction Block
Ninety-Nine Rare and Upgraded Military-Issue Humvees Up for Auction on www.go-dove.com, marking the first-ever sale of these rare GMV configuration models to the public.

The 99 vehicles are located in Chambersberg, PA and feature the following specifications:

  • Higher powered GM 8 cylinder 6.5L diesel engine (compared to standard 6.2L)
  • 4LE80 4 speed transmission and heavy-duty drivetrain (compared to standard 3 speed)
  • Upgraded Rod Hall suspension
  • Many units include additional features such as brush guards and winches
  • Liquidity Services has provided detailed inspection forms including the running condition

The HMMWV or Humvee deserves its place in US military history, they have been protecting our troops and dominating battlefields since the first units were used in combat in 1989 and the iconic shape is recognizable around the world.  The model M1025A2 represents the very best of the HMMWV series, and these are in extremely limited supply. This is an extremely rare GMV configuration and there has never been a widescale release to the market of this model to date.  The higher weight capacity of the M1025A2 was used to mount the TOW antitank missile system, a celebration of US defense manufacturing capabilities at its best.

“The market has long desired access to this specific model of Humvee and we’re excited and honored to be the first to bring these coveted vehicles to the public,” said David Gibson, senior director of operations for Liquidity Services. “We can’t wait to see the various ways in which our buyers will customize these Humvees, the possibilities are endless and the increased power and weight capacity (including the upgraded suspension that only these units received) over a standard Humvee gives much more flexibility for a buyer looking to create something unique. We’ve seen Humvees climbing walls, Humvees underwater, snow Humvees and Humvees getting into (and out of) places where no other vehicle can reach, who knows what’s next!”
